Thank You for 45 Years
Dear Friends of Christmas Connection,
It is with both sadness and gratitude that we share an important update about the future of Christmas Connection. After 45 years of serving Oklahoma families, Christmas Connection will cease operations and close its doors on June 25, 2026.
This decision has not been made lightly. Over the past several years, we have experienced increasing operational costs, growing community needs, and significant challenges in securing the financial resources necessary to sustain our programs. Despite the dedication of our staff, volunteers, board members, and supporters, we have reached a point where continuing operations is no longer financially feasible. We have continued serving clients with appointments already scheduled during the month of June and have fulfilled those commitments before closing.
However, effective immediately, we will no longer accept new referrals. Perhaps the hardest part of this decision is knowing that we will not be able to operate our annual Christmas shopping program this year. For decades, that program has brought joy, dignity, and hope to thousands of children and families across our community, and we know many of you have been part of making those Christmas memories possible.
As we reflect on the past 45 years, our hearts are full of gratitude for what we have accomplished together. Because of your generosity and support, Christmas Connection has served more than 100,000 Oklahoma families, distributed more than 2.5 million clothing and household items, and provided nearly 1 million toys to children who otherwise may have gone without. Behind every one of those numbers is a family facing hardship, a child experiencing joy, and a community coming together to care for its neighbors.
Countless volunteers gave their time, donors shared their resources, and community partners joined us in serving families with compassion, dignity, and hope. The impact of this organization has never belonged to any one person—it belongs to all of us.
On behalf of every family we have served, every volunteer who gave their time, every donor who believed in our mission, and every staff member who dedicated themselves to this work, thank you. Your generosity created a legacy that will live on far beyond the life of this organization.
